Covid-19 UPDATE

Bounce Podiatry is OPEN

​

The below applies during periods of Covid-19 Pandemic should the government declare it.

​

The College of Podiatry has confirmed that Podiatrists and their clinics can remain open including home visits. 

 

The provision of healthcare and medical appointments are not affected by the COVID-19 tier system or periods of Lockdown, including those who fall under the restrictions in England. 

 

At Bounce Podiatry we adhere to the strict rules, guidance and recommendations from the College of Podiatry and Health England (updated 5/01/2021).

 

Bounce Podiatry has followed all government and the College of Podiatry guidelines about social distancing, PPE and clinic hygiene. All staff have been vaccinated.

 

24 hours before your appointment you must confirm your current health with our Coronavirus Self-assessment Form. A reminder will be sent by email or by telephone call (if no email facility) and MUST be completed and returned.

 

If you have signs of covid-19 you will be asked to self-isolate and contact us in 14 days.

Arriving for your Appointment:

 

  • Enter the clinic ONLY if you HAVE an appointment.

  • You MUST wear a mask or face covering.

  • You will be asked to clean your hands with our sanitiser gel.

  • Your temperature will be taken and recorded on your notes.

  • If your temperature is higher than 37.5 degrees celcius or you are awaiting a covid test result, you will be asked to leave the clinic immediately.

  • The NHS covid-19 app is available for you to check in.

  • All clinicians will be wearing appropriate PPE.

 

  • Please knock on the door to inform us of your arrival.

  • You may have to wait outside for a short while- we appreciate your patience.

  • We shall try and limit who you come into contact with.

  • Only one person can enter the clinic room, unless you are accompanying a child or are a carer.

  • All the treatment rooms will have a HEPA air purifying system.

  • We ask that you only use the toilet if really necessary.

  • Your clinician will make any future appointments within the clinic, or you can do this online at a later date.

  • You can pay at the time of your appointment using the contactless system on the card reader. No cash payments please.


What if I feel unwell on the appointment day?

 

If you feel unwell on the day, please let us now asap by phone and we can discuss how best to progress with the appointment, but do NOT come in if you feel unwell.

We will be sympathetic to late cancellations during this time but ask that you respect our business by letting us know as soon as possible so that we may offer it to another patient.
